TERI-WRC is organizing a session on "Shadow & Daylight Analysis" as a part of "Training Series under Design to Sutain Programme", on August 26, 2016 at The Park Hotel, CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai.

The second session in the series would focus on how the orientation and size of the fenestration affects the day light quality entering the building. Concepts like daylighted area/daylight zone, living area, lux levels, daylight factor (DF), fixed design sky condition and more could be explained. In addition, the recommended standards and benchmarks as specified in NBC 2005 for attaining daylight comfort within a living space shall be elaborated, whilst doing hands on exercise on the same. Furthermore, using software, a model would be build and simulation exercise for shadow and daylighting would be performed. While concluding the session, industry expert shall also share on site experience and challenges.
