TERI and Norwegian Ministry of External Affairs Sign the Grant Agreement

TERI and the Norwegian Ministry of External Affairs signed the Grant Agreement regarding Climate Change and Sustainable Development on Novemeber 7, 2016. The Agreement signing ceremony took place at the residence of the Norwegian Ambassador Nils Ragnar Kamsvåg along with Ms Hanne Meldgaard, Minister Counsellor; Mr Arild Øksnevad, Counsellor; Mr Kai Simon Yuen, Second Secretary; and Mr Vivek Kumar, Senior Advisor. From TERI, Dr Ajay Mathur, Director General; Dr Ritu Mathur, Director; Ms Suruchi Bhadwal, Associate Director; Mr Shirish Garud, Director; and Dr Shilpi Kapur, Fellow participated in the meeting.

The Agreement marks the Phase II of the TERI-Norwegian cooperation and will be implemented through various activities and projects structured under the themes - Sustainability and Clean Energy, Climate Change, and Low Carbon Resource Efficient Growth.

After signing of the Agreement, Dr Mathur stated, "We are privileged and delighted in entering into the second phase of the cooperation, and we look forward to a productive relationship." To this, Ambassador Kamsvåg's response was - "We are looking forward to see the cooperation unfold. We are also very impressed with the wide range of Norwegian institutions that you have found as partners for the cooperation". The Agreement will be in place for the period 2016-2019.
