TERI conducted 10 awareness and capacity building programmes for students of classes 1 to 5 (primary level) to spread the message 'Efficient use of Energy' with select Government Sarvodaya Schools in South West Delhi. This was organized as part of the project 'E for Energy Efficiency' supported by Power System Operation Corporation Ltd (POSOCO), and the project is on for a period of six months. Focussed group discussions, knowledge workshops, competitions were also organized for students on issues related to energy and its efficient use. Students were also briefed about the importance of energy in our life, its origin, journey, features and forms, types of energy, methods to conserve energy, use of efficient lighting system, star labelled products etc. with pictorial mode.

The programmes were organized from 18 November - 20 December, 2016 which witnessed the participation of about 2927 students and 56 teachers from the project schools. Intra school theme based competitions like 'Abhinay' (modeling/enact performance), 'Make an Advertisement', and Quiz on energy were also organized on the occasion.
