In-person Pre-Event Press Conference for the Adaptation Futures Conference

The in-person Press Conference will see TERI experts interact with media representatives on Adaptation Futures Conference and its criticality as we head closer to global climate negotiations in COP26.

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) is organizing an in-person, invite-only Press Conference as a pre-event to the Adaptation Futures on September 29, 2021 from 3:30 - 4:30 PM which will be followed by high-tea. The Press Conference will be held at TERI Headquarters in the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The in-person Press Conference will see experts from The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) interact with media representatives on "Adaptation Futures" Conference and its criticality as we head closer to the crucial climate negotiations at COP26.

The experts interacting with the press and media representatives at the Press Conference will include Dr. Vibha Dhawan, Director General, TERI; Mr. Manjeev Singh Puri, Former Diplomat and Distinguished Fellow, TERI; Dr. Anand Patwardhan, Professor, University of Maryland and Chair, Science Committee, Adaptation Futures; and Ms. Suruchi Bhadwal, Director, Earth Science and Climate Change Division, TERI.

As a background, the virtual Adaptation Futures Conference is scheduled from October 4-8, 2021. It is the Sixth in the Adaptation Futures international conference series on global adaptation and the first to be held in Asia. Co-hosted by TERI with the World Adaptation Science Programme (WASP), it aims to serve as a platform for a range of stakeholders across the world to facilitate dialogues towards action-oriented solutions for climate change. The Conference will hold discussions around the themes of: governance of adaptation; limits to adaptation; fairness and equity in adaptation; knowledge for actions; nature-based solutions; and financing adaptation.
