Panel Discussion on 'Irrigation Water Use Efficiency-Way Forward'

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), in association with Jain Irrigation Systems Limited, organized a Panel Discussion on 'Irrigation Water Use Efficiency - Way Forward' and also marked the launch of 'Resource Centre on Water Use Efficiency' during India Water Week 2015. The Resource Centre and its website were launched by Shri M B Patil, Hon'ble Minister for Water Resources, Government of Karnataka, in the presence of other dignitaries. He appreciated the joint efforts made by TERI and JISL in the water sector.

The launch was followed by the panel discussion, chaired by Dr Amarjit Singh, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Water Resources. The eminent panellists deliberated on the issues and opportunities of enhancing water use efficiency and shared their experiences. The panel discussion witnessed active participation and deliberations.
