High Level Corporate Dialogue (HLCD)
HLCD 2015, the curtain raiser to DSDS 2015 witnessed around 250 participants from across the industry, over 100 top companies, more than 45 CEOs, and over 120 senior colleagues from the business fraternity. Themed as "Delhi to Paris Corporate Vision to Climate Change" the inaugural session included Dr R K Pachauri, Mr Paul Polman, Dr Henrik O Madsen, Mr Jayant Sinha, Mr R Mukundan and Dr Annapurna Vancheswaran among the key speakers.
The inaugural session was followed by thematic breakaway sessions. Each theme discussion was chaired by a business leader and deliberated on a variety of short-term business actions.
The special luncheon session, moderated by Mr Karma Paljor, Business Editor, CNN-IBN, was graced by Mr Suresh Prabhu, Hon'ble Minister of Railways, India as the Guest of Honour in the presence of Dr R K Pachauri.
The reception session was moderated by Ms Shereen Bhan, Managing Editor, CNBC-TV 18. It was an interactive session, and the questions were posed by the moderator to Mr Paul Polman, Chief Executive Officer, Unilever & Chairman, WBCSD; Mr Bibek Debroy, Member, NITI Aayog; and Dr R K Pachauri, Director-General, TERI & President, TERI BCSD.
Among the highlights, there was a release of two knowledge papers by TERI BCSD and YES Bank- 'Enabling Finance for Scaling up Energy Efficiency in MSMEs' and 'Ganga: An Inclusive Multi-Stakeholder Approach'.
TERI also pre-launched Global Sustainability Development Report 2015 - 'Climate Change and Sustainable Development: Assessing Progress of Regions and Countries'.
