Preservation and Protection of Traditional Knowledge: Documentation Initiatives in North East, India

Promote TK among Youth through collaborative awareness program, and study the possibility of integrating it in formal educational curriculum.

Supporting clean energy adoption in Rural India

TERI has installed around 25000 cookstoves in Bihar. From the use of these stoves, carbon credits are being generated. TERI with the support from VNV Advisory Services are able to sell these carbon credits and generate revenue. The same fund is being utilized for maintenance and replacement of cookstove and other components in Bihar engaging the women energy entrepreneurs. TERI has been setting up women energy enterprises who are being engaged in maintenance and servicing of cookstoves in different districts of Bihar.

Develop an Air Quality Progress Report (AQPR) for India

The main objective of this project is to provide independent overview and analysis of status and trends of air pollutant emissions and air quality concentrations in India, impacts and policy response, for use in policy processes and decision-making during policy implementation. The assessment will serve as a platform and convening venue for analysing and synthesizing the most uptodate and policy relevant information.

White paper on impact of energy efficiency in commercial buildings post COVID

TERI is an independent, multi-dimensional organization, with capabilities in research, policy, consultancy and implementation. 75F is also an independent organization dedicated to discovering new solutions to old problems and passionate about exploring new and innovative technologies.   

Sustainable energy in Micro-enterprises for Income and Livelihood Enhancement (SMILE)

Sustainable energy in Micro-enterprises for Income and Livelihood Enhancement (SMILE) would aim to work with multiple of stakeholders, following an integrated approach, to identify and remove barriers, specifically for the micro and home-based enterprises. It would also work towards improvement of energy efficiency and adoption of RE energy, build capacity, help develop financial instruments, and establish linkages with financial institutions and facilitate deployment of energy-efficient RE technology for productive use specifically. 

Enhancing Energy Access through Women Entrepreneurs in Bihar - Clean Cookstove Program

Reliable energy access has been a major challenge in remote rural area. The proposed intervention focuses on developing value chain for solar related products as well as forced draft biomass cookstove engaging women entrepreneurs in the state of Bihar. Use of efficient biomass stove will reduce the air pollution which will result in improvement of air quality in the proposed 5 districts of Bihar.

Overseas Module on Forestry Practices Training for Indian Forest Service Probationers

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) is implementing a project titled 'Overseas Module on Forestry Practices Training for Indian Forest Service Probationers'. The deliverable of this assignment is to organise a module for special exposure to overseas forestry practices training for IFS probationers. The overall objective is to help the participants learn new forestry, protected area management and technological practices adopted in Australia and Laos and consolidate their learning in the light of changing forestry paradigms.
