A sustainable development framework for the minerals sector of Gujarat - Phase I
The main objectives of this phase are as follows.

o To develop a background paper that will help create an in-depth understanding of the minerals sector in Gujarat. This paper will cover the spatial distribution of mineral production (both large and small mines) in the state and also mineral-based industries.
o To adopt a set of principles that will guide the sustainable development of the minerals industry, including large- and small-scale mines.
To develop good practice guidelines that will help translate these principles into practice.
