November 25, 2021: Pointing out that only 6 % of the energy consumption in the transport sector came from renewable energy sources, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Mr Nitin Gadkari said the government is on mission mode to decarbonise the sector, and special focus will be on ethanol and green hydrogen-based solutions. New Delhi, November 24, 2021: In the backdrop of the recently concluded COP 26 at Glasgow where global players renewed promises to cut back carbon emissions, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India would meet 50 per cent of its energy requirements from renewable sources by 2030, the 19th World Wind Energy Conference 2021 (WWEC2021) kicked off in New Delhi on Wednesday with its focus firmly on accelerating capacity additions of wind and solar energy into the country's energy systems.

Panjim, November 17, 2021: To identify and address the challenges faced while ensuring 24x7 reliable and affordable power supply to the people of Goa, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) recently conducted a detailed study to identify strategies for ‘Greening the Sector and Improving the Reliability of Power Supply’.
The study focused on (a) identifying strategies for effective load management to cater to the growing demand, and (b) strategies for increasing the share of green power within the supply mix.
