Mr Saurabh Kumar, Managing Director, Energy Efficiency Services Ltd. talks about the emerging success story of electric vehicles, his own experience of driving one, and their inter linkages with achieving the national and thereby global target of reduction in carbon emissions by 2030. As the head of the implementing body for LED programme, and now tasked with introducing EVs at a large scale, he is confident that the pay-as-you-save model of LEDs can lead to success for EVs as well.
