It is not enough to cite a published work if the work may be flawed. This webinar aims as giving librarians, editors and publishers guidelines about how to judge reliability.

M S Rao Mr Michael Seadle, Professor, Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany

Prof. Dr. Michael Seadle has written on a wide range of subjects including research integrity, research methodology, digital archiving, copyright, digitization, computing management, and German history. He has been principal investigator on grants from the German Research Foundation (DFG), the National Science Foundation (NSF), and the Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS). His current research areas are research integrity and long term digital archiving. For almost twelve years he was Director of the Berlin School for Library and Information Science at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. For six years he was Dean of the Humanities Faculty, and Deputy Dean for two years. He was editor of Library Hi Tech for 20 years and is still editor-in-chief of World Digital Libraries. He still chairs the University's Commission on Research Malpractice. Internationally he is past chair of the iSchools, which currently has 100 member schools, and he now serves as its executive director. He is director of the HEADT Centre (Humboldt Elsevier Advanced Data and Text Centre) and leads its research integrity unit.

Dr Priya Rai is official incharge of Justice T.P.S Chawla Library at NLUD. Posses experience of about 19 years in active library science.

She is commonwealth fellow from Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, London. She has earned PhD form Banasthali University, Rajasthan and Pursuing LLM in IPR from USLLS, GGSIPU. Her area of Specialisation is Copyright laws, Digitization , Licensing and research ethics, open access.

Mr. M. S. Rao, IAS is an Engineering Graduate from IIT, Kharagpur and is an MBA in Project Management from the University of Hull, UK. He is Indian Administrative Service 1987 batch officer currently as Additional Secretary rank in Government of India. In his till date work experience he has served in various capacities in the State of Assam & Meghalaya, where his last assignment was Additional Chief Secretary, Home and Political to the Government of Meghalaya.

Presently, Mr. Rao is working as President & CEO, National e-Governance Division(NeGD), Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Govt of India and spearheading the implementation of Digital India programme in the country. The work include technical & IT support to Central Government Ministries/Departments as well as to State Governments. He is directly managing and monitoring the operations of many big eGovernance initiatives namely Digilocker (providing virtual space on cloud to every citizen to ensure paperless governance), Unified Mobile App for Next Generation (UMANG) – enabling delivery of 300+ government services through single mobile interface, NcoG Platform –Geospatial Information platform for geo-enablment & fast decision making through various databases. He is also leading the team to implement India Enterprise Archiecture (INDEA), Open API platform and use of artificial intellegence(AI) in social sectors namely education, agriculture, health, natual language processing, transportation and energy.

Shantanu Ganguly Dr Shantanu Ganguly, Fellow, Knowledge Management Division, TERI

Shantanu is a professional incumbent with a profound knowledge in implementation of Knowledge Management system. At present he is working as the Fellow in the Knowledge Management Division of TERI and recipient of “Roll of Honour” for outstanding contribution in the organization. Shantanu has handled several leading projects of TERI. He has been an integral part of the projects of bi-lateral, multi-lateral and government bodies, in setting up their knowledge management systems, database management systems and devising communication strategy and content management. He has also developed several Professional Development Programmes, and given a new dimension to the capacity building programmes. An excellent orator in Infopreneurship, Knowledge Management, Business Communication Strategy, Project Management and Social Media Marketing and Digital Marketing.
