TERI University celebrates EARTH DAY

TERI University, celebrated Earth Day today in the presence of Mr Tulsi Tanti, Chairman, Suzlon Group, Dr RK Pachauri, Chancellor, TERI University, Mr Mark Kenber, CEO, The Climate Group and Dr Leena Srivastava, Vice Chancellor TERI University at the University campus in Vasant Kunj.

Welcoming guests, Dr Srivastava highlighted the importance of Earth Day and explained how youth should be actively involved in sustainable development.

Mr Tulsi Tanti, the chief guest at the occasion addressed the University students and spoke on 'Sustainable growth - Turning attainment to a reality'.

Addressing TERI University students, Mr. Tulsi Tanti, said, "With our increasing population and drive to bring better living standards to all – the most crucial enabler for India is energy. Each Indian must have access to safe, secure and affordable energy supplies – this is a fundamental right. It is a sad fact that even today more than million Indians do not have regular access to power."
