Empowerment and energy in India

While the benefits of energy access are less pronounced on a day-to-day basis than a well-lit childbirth, energy access plays a critical role in empowering women. There is much evidence of the income-generating potential of productivity-enhancing equipment, though this income boost doesn\'t necessarily translate into the empowerment of women within their community.
