The 3rd International Conference NANOFORAGRI 2019 on "Nanobiotechnology for Agriculture: Technologies for Future Food and Agriculture" was organized by TERI Deakin Nanobiotechnology Centre in collaboration of Department of Biotechnology, India at Aerocity, New Delhi. The conference brought together scientists, researchers, industries and technocrats with disruptive ideas with the purpose of advancing research and product development within the field of food and agriculture nanotechnology. The conference showcased talks and discussion on thematic topics and application areas of Nanotechnology in food and agriculture including crop protection, nano-nutrients for plants, food preservation, post-harvest management, smart delivery system and upcoming technologies. NANOFORAGRI 2019 was an exciting platform for presenting and discussing translational and disruptive technologies that covers topics based on application of nanotechnology in the food and agriculture sector.
The Second Edition of International Conference on Nanobiotechnology for Agriculture NANOFORAGRI 2018: Detection, Conservation and Responsible Use of Natural Resources, was organized by TERI-Deakin Nanobiotechnology Centre in December 2018 at Natinal Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), Gurgoan. The event featured Plenary Sessions, Keynote Lecture, Youngsters’ Forum, Stakeholders and Policy Sessions, Poster Presentations, and Oral Presentations. More than 200 participants from across the globe attended the conference under the following themes; Nanoimaging for Diagnosis and Detection, Bionanocatalysis and sensing, Post-harvest management and food preservation using nano-biotechnological approaches, Integrated nutrient management and soil conservation including biomaterial-based nanoformulations, Fate of nanomaterials including transformation and toxicity, risk assessment studies.
TERI-Deakin Nanobiotechnology Centre (TDNBC), in partnership with the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India organized the NANOFORAGRI 2017: International Conference on Nanobiotechnology for Agriculture: From Research to Innovation on 20-21 November 2017 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi and TERI Gram, Gurugram. The Conference aimed to develop a deeper understanding of advances in Nanobiotechnology in the areas of agriculture, encourage interaction within the international research community for wider application, and accelerated product development for the benefit of society by innovating sustainability at the farm level and in agricultural practices of India. The Conference showcased talks by National and International experts in four thematic sessions and mapped knowledge, highlighted the current challenges faced in this sphere, and opportunities that exist for translational research/innovation.
