Associate Fellow


Job Profile

- Lead and manage research components on just energy transition, livelihoods, and skill ecosystems
- Design and implement field studies, needs assessments, and stakeholder engagement processes
- Conduct advanced qualitative and quantitative analysis
- Lead report writing, publications, and knowledge outputs
- Contribute to and independently develop research proposals and concept notes
- Support project management, coordination, and delivery of outputs
- Engage with government agencies, donors, and partners
- Facilitate workshops, trainings and consultations


Experience

3 - 5 Years


Qualification

- Master-s degree (PhD desirable but not mandatory) in relevant disciplines (e.g.- development studies- public policy- economics- energy studies- social sciences)
- 3-5 years of prior experience in research- consulting- or policy work
- Demonstrated experience in proposal writing and project execution
- Strong analytical- writing- and communication skills
- Experience in field-based research and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines effectively


Skills

We are seeking an Associate Fellow to play a key role in advancing TERI-s work on just energy transitions. The candidate will lead components of research- contribute to project design- and engage with stakeholders across government- communities- and industry.

Desirable Skills & Interests
- Prior work on energy transition- climate policy- or development sectors
- Strong grounding in energy justice- gender equity- and social inclusion (GESI)
- Experience working in coal regions or renewable energy geographies
- Expertise in GIS tools (e.g.- Q- GIS- ArcGIS etc.) for spatial analysis and mapping of energy and socio-economic data.
- Familiarity with skills- labour transitions- and economic diversification
