Research Associate


Job Profile

1. Plan activities of ongoing project(s) and monitor progress against approved work plan \r\n2. Work with team to make sure project is on track \r\n3. Collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data (both primary and secondary) \r\n4. Writing project proposals, RFPs, submitting EoIs \r\n5. Writing and preparing project reports, conducting literature review and other deliverables as per projects timelines \r\n6. Organizing/participate in internal and external meetings, workshops, conferences, and other dissemination activities \r\n7. Writing and participating in publications (scientific papers, policy briefs, opinion pieces, etc.) \r\n8. Comfortable to travel within the state/project areas. \r\n9. Experience of working with communities, governments, local partners, etc.\r\n10. Any other task as assigned.


Experience

0 - 3 Years


Qualification

Master-s degree in Forestry- Natural Resource Management- Biodiversity Conservation- Sustainability- Environmental Management or related fields


Skills

Basic understanding about climate change and allied concepts- forest management- NDCs- forest and environment polices- agroforestry/trees outside forests- carbon markets- forest landscape restoration- desertification- ecosystem services- biodiversity assessment- watershed management and allied areas

Microsoft Office Suite (Word- Excel- PowerPoint- etc.)- Email communication skills; Basic understanding of statistical packages- GIS/RS will be preferred

Language: Kannada (mandatory). Knowledge of other regional/local languages will be benefecial.
