Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Shri Bhupender Yadav, delivered the keynote address on Visionary Leadership for Mainstreaming Sustainable Development and Climate Resilience at the inaugural session of the World Sustainable Development Summit 2023 held in New Delhi. The Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited (SPMCIL) and TERI signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on 14 February 2023 at the SPMCIL Corporate Office. The MoU, with an estimated cost of Rs 525.49 lakh, is for the integrated development of village for Social Development – Model Village - Siroliya, District - Dewas, Madhya Pradesh under CSR initiatives of SPMCIL.

The strategy paper for Goa presents an overall state-level action plan to mainstream resource efficiency and circular economy and foster sustainable management of resources in the state.


Policy research on the role of resources in national and global sustainable development

We study the economics of natural resource use, and its interface with development, use modelling frameworks and decision support systems for sustainable management of natural resources. We analyse markets (design, regulation, and behaviour of the agents) to suggest policy, structural, institutional, and legislative changes for promoting efficient and competitive markets.

Multidisciplinary research and policy advice

We perform inter-disciplinary policy research using latest science and technology developments for policy makers, regulators, and concerned stakeholders in areas of regulatory reforms in physical infrastructure sectors like energy, transport, water, and others through research, support, capacity building, awareness programmes, and handholding. Our policy advice is aimed at local and global environmental challenges to trade, investment, resource development.
