About

TERI, India and Deakin University, Australia are two destinations in the world that are actively engaged in nanotechnology based research on agriculture, material science, food storage and safety. Considering the importance and relevance of joint research platform, TERI-Deakin Nanobiotechnology Centre (TDNBC), Gurugram, India and Institute of Frontier Materials (IFM), Deakin University, Australia, in association with Department of Biotechnology, Government of India has created “DBT -TDNBC - DEAKIN – Research Network Across continents for learning and innovation (DTD-RNA)”. Network aims to serve as a training and capacity building hub to foster and facilitate multi-disciplinary collaborative research in nanotechnology.

Vision

Creation of innovation hub in India and Australia for networking between Research Institutes, Universities and
Industries working on nanotechnology.

Mission

  1. To reach out to potential beneficiary research centre's across Asia and Africa
  2. To organize regular interaction with all stake holders (TDNBC, Deakin University, Asian and African Institutions and Indian Network partners) to discuss and define common and mutually beneficial Research platforms for attaining excellence by exchanges and knowledge sharing.
  3. TDNBC to convert its product prototypes to desired products for reaching out to common man together with Indian and Global industries
  4. To impart specific knowledge and skill development/enhancement via short and long duration training modules
  5. To organize winter and summer schools besides forays for attaining attenuation in ongoing research platforms or flagship projects by institutions across continents
  6. To organize research Modules and platforms to enhance skills and knowledge across institutions
