Dr. Narayan Singh, MSc. MBA, PhD, presently working with The Energy and Resources Institute, New Delhi in Community Farming and Livelihood division as Area Convener. He obtained his PhD and MSc in Himalayan Agroforestry from Department of Forestry and Environmental Science, Kumaun University, Nainital, Uttarakhand. Some of his earlier associations were with the Herbal Research and Development Institute,Mandal, Gopeshwar, Chamoli, GB Pant Institute of Himalayan Environment and Development, Almora and Department of Forestry and Environmental Science, Kumaun University, Nainital. Dr. Singh has extensively worked on the field of extension of horticulture, Himalayan agriculture, medicinal, aromatic plants of Uttarakhand since 2006. He also worked in Traditional Agro- Ecosystems of Uttarakhand and Advance Apple Cultivation Technology of Himachal Pradesh. He has published more than 40 research papers, articles, abstract and others in various national and international journals/magazines. He has also authored/co-authored 10 books on biodiversity, climate change and medicinal plants.
