Mr Ankit Kumar Rath is a Civil Engineer with an Advanced Diploma in Structural Designing and analysis (ADSDA) and is presently working as a Project Engineer and Area Convenor for the Environment & Waste Management Division of The Energy and Resources Institute.
A professional with over nine years of intensive consultancy and research experience, Mr Rath has been extensively involved in project development & management, technology development & dissemination, capacity building, and techno-economic analysis (Biomethanation plant, Biomass waste to energy, Gasifier technology, rice husk waste to energy, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan workshops, DISCOM activities, and civil designing and load evaluations).
He has also contributed to the publication of an article in the field of biomass highlighting how biomass as a renewable energy source is one of the many promising technologies to reduce fuel poverty commonly prevalent in rural communities in India.
