TERI provides the consultancy for the solar rooftop in order to maintain the quality of the power plant as per the quality standards.

TERI with support from Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation (SSEF) has developed a first-of-kind cloud based open-source Web-GIS tool for estimating rooftop solar power potential for Indian Solar Cities. The main objective of this study is to develop a high performing, and flexible Web-GIS tool to estimate the rooftop solar power potential for Chandigarh area. The strategic support is being provided by Chandigarh Renewal Energy Science and Technology Promotion Society (CREST), and Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India.

Consultancy services for SMC - 3.6 MW Rooftop Solar PV Power Plant

Objective: The main objective of this study is to Inspect, and Validate Solar PV Power Plants of 8 Govt. Buildings in Chandigarh (total of 330kWp), and its components as per the Technical Specification provided in the Bidding/Tender Documents as per international standards i.e., IEC 62446. The broad scope of work includes: Conduct On-site Inspection, and Validation of Solar PV Power Plants, in co-ordination with CREST and the other concerned authorities; Preparation of Detailed PV System Inspection, and Test Reports (including, PV System Verification Certificates) for On-site Inspection, and Validation of Solar PV Power Plants.

5 MW solar PV power project in the proposed convention centre at President Estate, New Delhi

Duration: November 2006 - June 2007

Objective: TERI understands that the Honourable President of India has a vision to install and demonstrate a 5 MW SPV power plant in the President Estate, New Delhi. Power Finance Corporation (PFC) has been entrusted with the responsibility of executing the above project in association with Rural electrification Corporation (REC) and National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC). A technical expert committee has been formulated to study the feasibility of the above project. The land required for the project has already been identified within the Presidential Estate. TERI, as a premier institution in promoting sustainable development , has been requested by PFC for providing technical consultancy services specifically for greening the project and realising the vision of the President of India. The document defines the ToR for TERI to undertake the above services.
