Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) and TERI have set up need-based collaborative programmes in local, national and global context while developing regional infrastructure. These programmes aim to educate people about the mitigation measures adopted by the agency in their various projects. The forum will also educate people about the overall impact of climate change and what it means for the common man. Apart from the programmes, the other areas identified by MMRDA and TERI are compilation of the environmental status report, estimating the carbon footprints of organisations and evaluating the impact of modern and improved transport projects undertaken by MMRDA on the environment.
