Dr K C Bansal is Senior Fellow and Area Convenor of the Nano Biotechnology Centre at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). He has a doctorate degree (gold medallist) from the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi. He completed his postdoctoral research in Plant Molecular Biology at Harvard University, Cambridge, USA.
He has also been a visiting scholar at Waksman Institute, Rutgers University, New Jersey, USA, and worked on chloroplast transformation in plants under Rockefeller Biotech Career award.
He has also taught molecular biology and biotechnology at the National Biotechnology Centre, IARI, New Delhi, and served as the Coordinator, National Project on Transgenics in Crops, ICAR, and as Director, National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources, ICAR-DARE, in New Delhi.
Professor Bansal has over 150 research papers, review articles, and book chapters in national and international journals of repute to his name and is the winner of many awards and honours.
