The
Indian Oil & Gas sector provides exciting opportunities in exploration
and production, including coal bed methane (CBM), petroleum refining,
and natural gas inclusive of LNG terminals/gas pipelines/CGD networks.
The refining capacity, already in excess of domestic requirements, is
steadily growing and India is expected to
surpass South Korea as the 2nd largest refined products exporter in the
region. The National Oil Companies alone plan to invest over $50 billion
during the Five Year Plan ending 2011-12.
Alternative energy sources like biofuels, wind, solar etc. are also being
increasingly exploited and offer cosiderable opportunities.
The India Energy Conference shall provide an authoritative assessment
of the oil and gas sector in India with insights into regulatory and pricing
issues, natural gas business and prospects in alternative energy areas.
