Introduction of new diversification options for the rural youth was one of the main objectives of the event. Agro-tourism is gaining popularity among farmers as it provides an opportunity to earn additional revenue while continuing with regular agricultural practices. This was demonstrated at the exhibition in collaboration with MTDC. Over 30 agri-tourism centres from Maharashtra showcased their achievements and highlights. Through MTDC’s pavilion, the visitors were given information on various agri-tourism centres across the state and governments action plan on promotion of agri-tourism in Maharashtra.

To create an appropriate ambience of the rural scenario in Maharashtra and depict the traditional agricultural practices, the famous Siddhagiri museum from Kolhapur showcased a life size display.
