Background
Salient Features of ICOM7
The "International Conference on Mycorrhiza (ICOM)" is the official conference of International Mycorrhiza Society and provides researchers with an excellent opportunity to interact with different scientific groups working on this wonder fungus and discuss the current state of the mycorrhizal research. It is held every three years and the past editions have been held at the following places:
- ICOM1 in Berkeley (USA -- 1996)
- ICOM2 in Uppsala (Sweden -- 1998)
- ICOM3 in Adelaide (Australia -- 2001)
- ICOM4 in Montreal (Canada -- 2003)
- ICOM5 in Granada (Spain -- 2006)
- ICOM6 in Belo Horizonte (Brazil -- 2009)
This 6 day gala event would comprise a perfect concoction of scientific and social events to allow the participants to experience the essence of Mycorrhizal Research along with the culture and heritage of India.
