About/Background

TERI is organizing a Workshop on "Capacity Building in Environmental Public Health Research" supported by Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare from October 30th to November 1st, 2017 at India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.

The capacity building workshop will teach participants on how to collect, analyze, and quantify health effects associated with environmental exposures. This workshop is a step towards building a bridge between the medical and environmental health field. We would introduce concepts of epidemiology and statistical techniques including data collection, analysis, and risk assessment and lifetime exposure of pollutants. Participants will gain understanding of methods needed to quantify health effects of environmental exposures. The participants are likely to be a mix of young research professionals from environment, health, and medical fields.
