TERI at COP23

The 23rd Session of the Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (CoP23) will be held in Bonn, November 6 to 17, 2017.

COP23 is presided over by Fiji and will see emphasis on awareness raising around the vulnerability of island nations and all nations, with a call for building more resilient communities. Almost two years after the Paris Agreement, which was adopted on December 12, 2015, the focus of discussions this year will be largely on advancing the aims and ambitions of the Paris Agreement and on developing firmer implementation guidelines for issues such as transparency, adaptation, emission reductions, provision of finance, capacity-building and technology.

Like in the previous CoPs, TERI will be engaged in constructive dialogue on climate policy and action. The formal platforms will include the Exhibit Booth of TERI and various side-events organized by TERI and organized by other organizations, where TERI colleagues will share the organisation's research and insights on climate policy and sustainable development practices, with a wider audience. TERI would also be participating in 6 India Pavilion events.
