About us

With global population projections revised to 10 billion by 2050, food insecurity has emerged as a major challenge. How do we feed these numbers without degrading the environment further? How do we meet the demand for biofuels and other biomass in a carbon-constrained world?

The answer...

  • Conserving mycorrhizal diversity

Given the spectrum of benefits that can be derived from mycorrhiza, a Center was set up to conserve mycorrhizal diversity, which houses and maintains cultures from 12 different agro-ecological zones out of a total of 20 identified for the country, with 450 isolates of mycorrhizal fungi.

  • Synthesis of nanoparticles using heavy metal...

There is an ever-growing need to develop clean, nontoxic, and environmentally benign synthesis procedures.
